Vancouver Rueda Festival
April 9-11 2010, next 2011!!

Cuban Salsa Vancouver is excited to present the Vancouver Rueda Festival April 9-11. The Festival will bring Casineros (Cuban Salsa dancers) from across North America to Vancouver for three days of parties, dance workshops, live music, and more parties!

Whatever your level and exposure to Cuban Salsa, the Vancouver Rueda Festival will give you a unique opportunity to learn from a variety of highly skilled instructors, meet other Casineros from around the country and celebrate the love of Cuban Salsa together.

Classes include a Beginner Bootcamp on Saturday afternoon, rueda and partner dancing at all levels, son, cha cha cha, rumba, reggaeton, body movement, musicality and more.

On Friday night, the welcome party will take place at the Polish Community Centre at City Salsa Vibe's Salsa Fusion Friday. Mojitos to refresh, bumpin’ beats from DJ Julio Montero to energize.

On Saturday and Sunday, we will be shakin’ it at the beautiful Masonic Hall, which boasts an amazing view of the downtown cityscape. Performances by local and international casineros will dazzle with their many unique takes on Cuban dance. Vancouver bands Puro Son (feat. Miguelito Valdez) and Tanga will have you sweating up a storm, with DJs La Salsomana and Sergio (and some guest DJs!) keeping the timba flowing all night long.rueda

This event was a very fun one and Everyone dressed up and participated.

Salsa Glow Party was an awesome event where Baila Vancouver taught Sexy Intermediate moves and how to connect with each other while dancing an intricate combo. Bachata night

The Bachata night was the first of its kind and they did play a lot of Bachata but also added Salsa and cha cha. So it was a good mix.
